The conference will be held in the campus of University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania.
We encourage the attendees to stay in the Old City Center, close to Piata Unirii metro station. The central area is the nicest in Bucharest, there is bustling night life, theaters, clubs, pubs and restaurants. You can simply walk around and visit the main sights of Bucharest including the Atheneum, Piata Universitatii, Casa Poporului (Palace of Parliament), and so forth. Reaching the conference from Piata Unirii is quite easy via metro (3 metro stops and 5-10min walking).
There is a wide range of hotels in the Old City Center, and they can be booked from booking.com or other travel websites. Here we list a few that are particularly nice, but this list is not meant to be exhaustive:
1. Hotel Europa Royale – situated on the edge of the Old City Center, in Piata Unirii, across from the historic Manuc’s Inn. Lovely 3* hotel, fully refurbished just a few years ago.
2. Hilton Garden Inn – situated in the core of the Old City Center, next to the Romanian National Bank building. This is a brand new hotel that has opened recently.
3. Hotel Epoque: set in a quiet cul-de-sac near Cismigiu Park, this hotel is a classy 4* hotel located in a quiet area. You can reach the city center by walking 10 minutes and the conference venue via the Izvor metro station, or using the overground transportation (many options including buses 336, trolleybuses 61,96,90,91 etc).
These are just a few options that are on the higher end of the price scale, but many other very good hotels with low fares exist in the area.
